Booking Archiving

Due to our regular archiving schedule all bookings starting before 01.05.2008 will be removed from the system end of April. In addition all rentals with an availability ending before 01.05.2008 will be automatically removed end of this month. Please use cebra's export functionality in the "Administration" menu if you need to keep a copy of your bookings.

Enhanced Rate Management

For owners of multiple stations rate management has been significantly improved by the option to compare rates from different stations and copy rates from one station to another. To use this feature it is required that you have management access to at least two stations. See the new Copy Rate option at each Edit Rate form in the Administration menu.

The Assign Rates to Rentals functionality now allows to select all rentals of the same category with a single click.

Rate Selection for New Bookings

When creating a new booking the appropriate rate must now allways be selected. There is no pre-selection of the default rate any more to avoid wrong bookings by mistake.

Public cebra Website

Since August 2005 cebra has a public website at www.cebra-systems.com with all kind of information about the cebra booking system. Please feel free to visit the site and send feedback about additional information you would like to see here.

New Search Option

In the "Search" menu you can perform a text search on all accessible bookings in the cebra system. As you might know this is a powerful "fuzzy" search that finds your bookings even if you spell a customer name differently. This behavior can now be disabled with the new "Exact" option.

When searching for a unique identifier like a booking number you need to find only bookings that contain exactly that number. In such situations check the new "Exact" option to avoid getting also similar numbers.

cebra has been updated to version 1.31. The new features include:

New Access Report

For station managers we provided a new report "Station Access" in the "Administration" menu. It allows you to check who has access to your station -- either as manager or as booking partner. If you would like to add additional partners to one of your stations please send a short email to support@cebra-systems.com.

New Statistic Features

Have you ever used the booking statistics provided in the "Administration" menu? Now you can analyze you bookings in several more ways:

  • The cell values now can sum-up the number of booked days. This gives you a much better impression of you stations' load than then the number of bookings itself.
  • Also for rows or columns you can specify the booked days. This gives you detailed information about the typical length of stay.
  • In addition you can select the rental type (board, storage, ...) for rows or columns: This allows you to figure out usage for different types separately.

New Billing Report

This powerful feature allows generating billing reports for any station and tour operator at any point in time! For any currently selected station go to the "Administration" menu and open the "Billing Report". This new report easily generates a printable list of all bookings of a selected tour operator for a given period and sums up the booking fees.

Note that this feature is available for station owners as well as for TOs. As usual only bookings that are visible to your organisation will be enlisted.

New Export Function

For easy exporting of ALL bookings you have access in a single step, the export function has been improved: In the "Administration" menus you find the "Export Bookings" item as usual. The function now offers a checkbox "all stations" to enable the export of bookings from all stations in a single step.

New Booking Statistics

Did you ever wonder how many bookings you have for a particular station? What was the revenue of a tour operator last month? How many cancellations are there for the next week? The new extensive statistic functionality gives answer to this and many more questions.

You will find the "booking statistics" in the "Administration" menu. Pick two of the following properties for a table's rows and columns: month, week, station, owner, rate. Select whether your interested in numbers or revenue sums. To focus on a subset of your bookings optionally restrict the statistic to particular station, owner or status. Please note that for booking partners only bookings you have acces to are included in the statistics.

New Rental Statistics

In addition station managers can get statistics about "rental usage". This can be restricted for a particular periode and helps to figure our your guest's favourite board types for future planings.

cebra 1.3 Update Information

Next sunday we will upgrade the cebra system to version 1.3. While this version adds several new features the concept of cebra will remain the same. Please find detailed information in the attached document. Due to the system update on 16.02.2003 cebra is out of order between 20:00 and 24:00 UTC (GMT+0).
